Chenier performing and speaking; Blues singer Bukka White, performing and telling stories at Chris Strachwitz’ house (shot by Les Blank); stories from British Blues Scholar Paul Oliver and Chris Strachwitz’ 1960 tour through the South searching out Blues artists; a visit with Creole fiddler/accordion maker, Edward Poullard; a flatfoot dance with the White Top Mountain Band; Tex Mex Corridos; and a second line parade with the Treme Brass Band.

We are thrilled that Arhoolie Records released a 2-CD soundtrack from the documentary—38 tracks of soulful, raucous music from the musicians who captured the ears and heart of Arhoolie song-catcher Chris Strachwitz. The gorgeous 10 x 5.5″ package includes a 32-page full-color booklet filled with pictures and notes written by Adam Machado and Mr. Chris, and a written introduction by the filmmakers.
